"In Session" with Samuel B Newman @ Silvermoon Brewing

  • Silvermoon Brewing (map)

Members of The Session will be collaborating with dynamic and original Bend artist Samuel B Newman, in a rhythmic experience not to be missed.

“In Session" with Samuel B Newman will open for Deltaphonic.

Deltaphonic defined its sound with the release of The Funk, the Soul & the Holy Groove in 2020.

A year later the band solidified its current lineup when they left New Orleans to record an EP on the coast of Ecuador, buying motorcycles, and dubbing themselves “the southernmost Southern rock band” in the process. Since then, Deltaphonic has toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe, and spent countless hours in their New Orleans studio, culminating in a string of well received singles and recent exponential growth on Spotify.

Deltaphonic is anchored by founder Andrew Weekes’ songwriting aesthetic, and empowered by the prodigious musicality of the band. On drums and vocals, 2x Grammy nominated Trenton O’Neal brings a distinct New Orleans feel.

On guitar, the precision wizardry of Paul Provosty, and the laid back mastery of Logan Sellers, combine seamlessly into moments that leave guitar aficionados spellbound.

Starting with Kool Aid on January 23rd, Deltaphonic will release one song off its new twelve song album each month in 2026. Made possible in part by a grant from the Threadhead Culture Foundation, Deltaphonic’s newest album infuses their blues rock, retro soul, and funk sound with New Orleans brass band arrangements. The album features six unreleased new original songs, and six new versions of earlier releases. A limited edition vinyl and CD will also be available starting May.

Deltaphonic is one of those bands who are out there creating their own genre. It’s rock ‘n roll, but it’s mixed with New Orleans funk, soul, and Hill Country blues.
